Inclusive vs Exclusive
By default, standard mathematical calculation of calendars determines the number of boundaries crossed. For instance, calculating the distance from Monday to Tuesday results in exactly 1 day difference, not 2.
Accounting for Leap Years
To provide a perfectly accurate "Years" metric over long spans of time without skewing standard logic, the engine divides the total days by 365.25. This seamlessly factors in the extra day added during leap cycles over multi-year spans.
